Paint With Me Update

Alrighty....

After a few hours of messing with various settings, and most importantly, picking a good live streaming host, I believe I am ready for a test run of this garbitch. Everything is working just fine now!

I'll run the test cast at, um, let's say, 4 pm Eastern on Sunday the 27. It'll go for about an hour and a half. I will be painting my Deff Skullz and showing people the wash technique I learned recently to get kick-ass skin effects!

I am sorry if this inconvenienced the two of you who said you wanted to watch.

I have gotten a few different ways of contacting people. Just send me your email at BuFFo@awesomesaucestudio.com, and an hour before the show I will email everyone to give ya'll a heads up.

I will post the link to my cast on both my blog here, and in my notification email, an hour before the show, so let's say at around 3 pm Eastern. I will be turning the cam on around 3pm Eastern as well.

Paint With ME update

Sigh.... Of course I am having technical difficulties with this.... Been at it for the past hour, and things aren't lining up for me....

I will continue to work on this until 9 PM eastern to see what I can do.

Paint With Me Update

Tomorrow I am going to test my cam with Justin.TV to see how things turn out.

Thursday at 9 PM Eastern I will have a test run for Paint With Me. It should last for an hour at least. If this works out great, any future Paint With Me webcasts will probably be anywhere from an hour to three hours long.

Paint With Me Update

So, if you read this blog post of mine, you'll have an idea of what I am trying to do. If you haven't read that post, please do.

So, for the first Paint With Me, I was thinking of showing you all how I paint my Deff Skull infantry models. Here is an example of some finished models for my Ork Deff Skullz Army.

Tonight there is going to be a Marvel versus Capcom 3 release party at a friend's house. Anywhere from 10+ people are going to be there. Some people are bringing their T.V.'s and gaming systems. I am bringing my 32" Comp Monitor and Xbox 360 along with the MvC3 game of course.

One of my most favorite fighting games of all time has finally come out with it's long awaited 3rd installment, and I am not going to miss this for the world.

I am thinking that next week I am going to give the "Paint With Me" Cam a test run. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Question to you all....

I have an idea and I wonder if the few of you who watch this would be interested....

I am a big time starcraft 2 player. I love watching various live streams of people either playing professional games or casting them.

I also like to paint when I am with a group of people....

What if I set up my webcam with a chat room, so people can watch me while at the same time painting figures themselves? We could chat about painting things, 40k, or just any bullshit we want to. The idea is for people who paint better in groups, but cannot find a group to paint with, and would like to spend an hour or two just painting and bull shitting.

I don't know if this would be a stupid thing to do, but I already have a webcam account set up on Justin.tv, so I thought why not?

I could have people who want to participate join a mailing list, so I could just email out something like "I am going to start painting in 30 minutes". Ugh.... I guess I would benefit from getting a twitter account for this probably since that is much faster?

I would probably add everyone on my AIM list and notify people like that?

What are your thoughts on this? Be honest. Stupid idea, or are you interested?

Da mOrkanOrk's Geerage Mob - Finished Deff Dread Pics

I will be posting updates of both finished and work in progress models for my 1500/2500 point double Big Mek Deff Skullz list.

Here are my two main Troop choices for my growing Ork army;

Gortrak Muk Ra, Da Dawg Crusha
(Deff Dread, Troop Choice)

Gortrak Muk Ra has earned the title "Da Dawg Crusha" from his very first battle since being encased into a Deff Dred. Against the Dawg Beakies, Gortrak, along side a mob of Boyz, fought an old, strong Beakie by the name of Logan Griminar. This Grimnar guy fought like he was one of the boyz himself, but being nothing more than just a special 'ummie, he fell under the mighty power of Gortrak's crushing buzzsaw grabbas. His Grot Rigger is Chip.

Ol' Sweaty Gur Prakka, da Immoblz
(Deff Dread, Troop Choice)

Ol' Sweaty is an old Ork, barely able to walk by himself anymore. He was put into a Deff Dread because a useless Ork is a dead Ork, and Ol' Sweaty will fight untill the day he dies. Fighting along side Gortrak, Ol' Sweaty was immobilized by a Dawg Beakie's Melta thingy. After the Ork victory, the surviving Orks laughed and threw rocks at Ol' Sweaty because he couldn't move the entire battle, hence the title given to him, "Da Immoblz". Ol' Sweaty's Grot Rigger, Chunk, fixed the broken servos in the left leg, allowing Ol' Sweaty to step on and crush three Orks that were taunting him seconds earlier. The surviving Orks from THIS battle ran away as fast as they could!

Okay, I found some time and took a few pictures of my Deff Skullz. It isn't much for now, but I will have more pics up soon.

I haven't painted in years, so please, go easy on my delicate soul, lol :P

Oh wow.....

Only in my second day of taking my little blue pill, I can already 'feel' a difference.

It is hard to explain, but let me give you an example....

Before - If I made a sandwich, I would probably leave the silverware in the sink, or leave crumbs on the counter.
Now - I have to impulsively make sure i put everything back in its place, clean everything, and make sure everything is neat.

Before - I would look at my blog and decide, eh, I'll update it another time.
Now - I look at my blog button and feel the need to update it for some reason.

Before - I would get my things ready and go to the store to hang out.
Now - I have spent about 30 minutes sidetracking myself, cleaning up my room, before I head out, including writing this blog entry.

I know the side tracking thing may just indicate another sign of ADHD, but I never clean my room, not on impulse like this.

I am also finding no difficulty painting my figures in my room now. The light still bothers me, but even when I say "I am done for now" in a few minutes I feel the 'pull' to keep painting until something is done or until I deem it right.

I know this is yet not another update with a battle report, and I apologize, but I can feel the want/need to do the reports soon. I mean, I am getting a flood of things I want to do that I normally wouldn't even think about or care.

So please, a bit more patience. I'll get my past due reports out soon. As soon as I can stop myself from painting, lol.

Down the road...

Some updates....

I went to the doctor yesterday, and I am now on medication for my ADHD, of which he said I most definitely have. Popped my first pill this morning, so let's see how this goes over the coming weeks.

Funny though... Last week it occured to me that I can only get painting done when I am with a group of people. I have been at my local hobby store painting all last week and this week. The reason why I say this is funny is because I found a way to use my ADHD to help me with painting, but now I am taking medication, so who knows what will happen. I just cannot stand being alone in my house painting for more than 5 minutes. Being alone drives me insane.

Also, the lighting in my room isn't right for painting. I can't explain it. My vision quickly blur and I can't judge distance from my brush to the model with my room lighting, even under my art desk lamp. Odd huh?

What am I painting? Orks!

Yes, I am getting back into my old army. Orks were never really a love of mine. I just got into them in the previous codex ( of which I thought was actually pretty good ) and made two armies; 'ard boyz and a grot mob. The new codex basically invalidated both ideas, so I sold my Orks years ago.

I am off to the store to get painting done. When I get back tonight, I'll take some pictures for all four of you who still read this shit to see.

You'll be very pleased I think :)

I am trying to take some pictures of my Orks, but the lighting in my room/house is not natural enough for my liking, so I will take the pictures tomorrow at my local hobby store.
